Barbara Ellen Sorenson

Barbara Ellen Sorensen has a BA in English from the University of Iowa and a master’s degree in creative writing from Regis University, Denver. She is former senior editor of the flagship publication of the American Indian Science & Engineering Society, Winds of Change, and a contributing writer to the Tribal College Journal. Barbara is a published poet and writer whose work has received nominations for a Pushcart Prize and a Colorado Book Award. Her poetry has appeared on VerseDaily.com, The Poetry Foundation website, and on former U.S. Poet Laureate Ted Kooser’s website, American Life in Poetry. Sorensen has received awards to three artist’s residencies: Jentel in Banner, Wyoming, Starry Night in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, and Aspen Summer Words.

Carly Lyn Heath holds an MFA from Chapman University. She is the founding owner of Charming Films, LLC—a film production, illustration, and design company—and writer/director of the award-winning feature length film A Foundling, starring Cindy Chiu and Tim Chiou. She currently works as an art professor and illustrator and has recently completed a novel.
