Liam Max Kelley, Paige Canepa Olson, Lillian Fuglei, Taylor Heussner, and Brigan Haller
Liam Max Kelley (he/him/his) is a Chilean American playwright, poet, and high school English/drama teacher. He is the co-founder of RuddyDuck Theatre Company, a Denver-based absurdist theatre troupe, as well as a community board member for Stain’d Arts. Additionally, he hosts the Stain’d Arts monthly open mic at Town Hall Collaborative every second Tuesday. This is his first time publishing in F(r)iction, and he could not be more thrilled!
Paige Canepa Olson is a Denver-based performer and artist, whose work covers a variety of mediums from writing poems and plays to making chainmail and choreographing burlesque shows. This is her first poetry publication, and she is delighted to have been selected to feature in F(r)iction. Paige is also a proud board member of Stain’d Arts, whose writing critique group has aided most of her work. When she isn’t working on a show with her company (Lip Bite Productions), Paige enjoys snuggling her cat, Pilar, and playing Baldur’s Gate 3 with her fiancé, Liam.
Lillian Fuglei (they/she) is a lesbian poetess based in Denver, Colorado. She began writing poetry in high school, after a lifetime of attending open mics thanks to their mother. They bounce between poetry, journalism, and academia, hoping to find a home for her writing somewhere in between the three. You can find them on Instagram @literary.lillian or Twitter @LFuglei. Their debut chapbook, “Girlhood Scrapbook” is available now with Stain’d Arts.
Taylor Heussner is a writer, marketer, and dog/ cat mom living in Denver, Colorado. She has been published in Stain’d Arts, Westword, and 303 Magazine, as well as featured in various lovely open mics and readings across Denver. When not writing, she freelances under the name Ember Digital Marketing and wears that same creative hat, just in a slightly more analytical style. Her poetry is influenced by late-night wanderings, flowers growing on top of mountain peaks, and wine-soaked spirituality.
Brigan Haller (he/they) is a Denver-based queer neurodivergent poet, multimedia artist, and fervent DIY-er. He got his start in writing with Lord of the Rings fan fiction at the age of twelve and has been making dubious creative choices ever since. When not word-vomiting into their notes app or scribbling illegibly into a notebook, Brigan can be found turning strangers into friends at dive bars and working on various projects at their kitchen table. Brigan’s poetry was published by held. zine in September 2021, and he was featured artist at Stain’d Arts’ June 2024 open mic.
