Jaron Jay Cook

Jaron Cook, born on the west side of Indianapolis, grew up in an underserved community and is the oldest of eleven siblings. As a justice-impacted individual and a four-time felon, Jaron has overcome numerous obstacles throughout his life. He is a full-time single father to two little girls. Throughout his youth, Jaron battled between the street life and performing arts, with acting, writing, and rapping becoming his escapes from the criminal lifestyle. Once a student in the Frames Comics Course, Jaron is now a junior instructor for Brink, where he teaches the next generation of student writers. This is his first publication, marking a new chapter in his journey of personal growth and community impact.
