Lev Grossman is the author of the national bestseller The Bright Sword, a retelling of the King Arthur legend, as well as the bestselling Magicians trilogy—The Magicians, The Magician King, and The Magician’s Land—which has been published in thirty countries and adapted for television. He is also a screenwriter and the author of two children’s books, The Golden Swift and The Silver Arrow, and his journalism has appeared in Time, Vanity Fair, The Atlantic, The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times, among many other places.
Dani Hedlund founded the international literary nonprofit Brink Literacy Project as a doe-eyed nineteen year old and has been running the beast since. She is also the founder and editor-in-chief of F(r)iction. When she isn’t beating this book into submission with her favorite Brit, Miss Helen Maimaris, Dani also conducts the Pioneer Interviews for each issue as well as writing Editor's Notes.
Hailey Renee Brown
Hailey Renee Brown (Ren) is a professional illustrator born and raised in mid-Michigan. A former field biologist, they moved across the country from Michigan to Pennsylvania, also moving from science to commercial art. A professionally trained artist, they attended the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art in Dover, NJ, where they were selected as the recipient of the 2017 Norman Maurer Memorial Award as well as the 2019 Joe Kubert Jumpstart Project. They have since worked for a variety of clients from Dark Horse Comics and Dynamite Entertainment to Brink.
